The Allegany State Park Historical Society
The Allegany State Park Historical Society was formed in 1995 by a group interested in the park’s history. The group was was composed of former campers, park employees and retirees, former concessions workers, and other interested people. Some live nearby, and some travel from a distance.
The group meets on the third Saturday of the month–at the Red House Administration Building in the winter, and summmers at St. John’s-in-the-Woods in the Quaker Run Area. For more information, visit their website at www.asphs.org or drop in at the meeting on Saturday.
